Conversational English for Speakers of other Languages
The James Kellogg Family Success Center offers conversational English classes to residents of Elizabeth and the greater Union County area that wish to learn English. Our classes teach basic English words and phrases that are used in everyday interactions in the community and with family. The classes emphasize the situational use of English in various settings to increase the confidence and independence of non-English speakers in navigating everyday activities. Upon completing this basic conversational class, participants are encouraged to enroll in English as a Second Language (ESL) courses offered by local colleges, area libraries and community-based organizations.
This program is open to residents of Elizabeth and the greater Union County and is free of charge.
